The Moskovits Palaces
The Moskovits palace was built by the brothers Vago Jozsef and Laszlo in 1905 in Jugendstil after the plans of Rimanoczy Kalman Jr. In present on the ground-floor there is a shop and a restaurant.



Apollo Palace
The Apollo palace was built between 1912-1914. Beside its Berliner Jugendstil it has some decorations that remind us the Empire style. This building is the last one built by the famous architect Rimanoczy Kalman Jr. who died at a very young age. In present the ground floor of this building gives place to the Unic store.




Okányi-Schwartz
The plan of the villa was made by Dezső Jakab and Marcell Komor in 1912. The assymetrical building has got a tower on the yard side. After the transformations it is only the gilded window pains, the beautiful iron rails, and the floor tiles that are reminiscent of the old style.




Ady Memorial museum
The little museum from the Traian Park was founded in 1957 in place of the former Mulleraj all-night resort. In front if the museum there is the statue of Ady Endre. On this base it was situated the bronze "The ascension of Mary" statue before that in the present is placed in the garden of the roman-catholic Olosig church.




Astoria Hotel
It is a building that hasn't changed its function in the course of time. The EMKE Hotel after its name in those days was realized by Sztarill Ferenc in 1902 in Jugendstil with gothic impressions. The building has a high ground floor where was arranged a café favorite meeting place of the well known Hungarian poet Ady Endre an eminent person of the literary grouping who managed to type the anthology "A holnap" (The next day) in 1908.




Bazar
In 1899 at the same time as the theatre begins the construction of the Bazar after the project of Rimanóczy Kálmán. Here was one of the first cinemas, Edison's theatre witch had it's armchairs arranged in the amphitheatre and an English buffet. Now after more then 100 years the situation seems to be a little bit changed. This building gives place to shops, Railway Agency and the Irish Pub restaurant as long as in the passage between Theatre Square and Republicii street there are book sellers.




Black Eagle Palace

The Black Eagle Palace the one-time hotel was built between 1907-1909 on the base of the old Eagle guesthouse. The ensemble equipped with a glass covered passage making the connection between three streets became the most important realization of the architect couple Marcell Komor and Dezso Jakab. The glass painting with the black eagle the ensemble's emblem was executed in 1909 in the Oradean Neumann workshop.
